An Early Education That
Stands Apart

Primary Literacy Academy is a place where early learning feels intentional, elevated, and deeply personal. Founded by an experienced educator, our school was created for families who value a strong academic start grounded in literacy, structure, and joyful discovery. From our thoughtfully designed classrooms to our nurturing team, everything we do is centered around helping children grow with confidence, curiosity, and a love for learning.

Our Story

Primary Literacy Academy was founded by an experienced educator who saw the need for early learning that’s both intentional and nurturing. What began as a vision for stronger school readiness became a place where children feel seen, supported, and inspired to grow.

Our Mission

To ignite early literacy and build strong foundational skills in every child, empowering confident learners through intentional, research-backed education. We are committed to nurturing bright minds with warmth, structure, and purposeful teaching from the very beginning.

Our Vision

To lead the way in academic early education, where children from The Woodlands grow into capable, confident, and curious learners. We envision a future where every child begins school not only prepared, but excited for the path ahead.

Tashia Minard

I’m an educator who started my journey in education in 1999. Having worked with children from all walks of life and teaching those from preschool age to 2nd grade, I’ve always seen the need for passionate literacy professionals.

As I taught in public schooIs, I saw the education system failing the students by not starting with teaching the fundimentals of literacy properly. If students do not enter Kindergarten with the basics, unfortunately they are already behind in the skills they need to be successfull. Now more than ever, parents and teachers must work together to create solid academic foundations.

Primary Literacy Academy was created as a quality preschool that helps children get a head start with foundational reading skills, setting them up for success.
